ABOUT RILEY WRIGHT

Riley Wright (she/they) is an artist among other things like visionary, daydreamer, and eternal optimist to name a few. She is currently based in the Twin Cities as she graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2023 with a BFA in illustration.

"As an illustrator, printmaker, and poet, I align my interdisciplinary practice with my intentions to spark joy, hope, and feelings of belovedness among my audience. I pursue both written and visual avenues to communicate the feelings I hope to inspire in my audience as I believe creating safe spaces for feeling and expressing emotions can be the key to connection. Many of the illustrations in my portfolio accompany a poem while others stand alone but continue to emphasize connection among people and a drive for sharing their voices."
